How use muy and mucho

What I need to Say: Muy mucho grande ?  This is a typical mistake.  

Basically what means :

Muy—Very

Muchos/as—Many / Much / a lot / a lot of

Mas—More

• Adverb MUY - very

Subj+V+ adv muy + object

1. Yo soy muy  interesante. 
2. Somos muy divertidos.
3. Ella es muy alta.
4. Eso es muy caro.
5. Aprendes muy rapido. 
6. Muy bien.

In Englsih sometimes you use VERY as ans answer, that doesnt work in Spanish. If you want to say something like "Are you tired? - Very!" will be , Estas cansado? Mucho.
or the best way: Estoy muy cansado.

Use it for VERY, QUITE, TOO.
Es muy inteligente
Eso es muy Frances (quite france - like typical)
Es muy grande para mi. (too big)

• Adv Mucho /as - (many, much, a lot..)

Can be adjective or adverb( modify verb , adjective, or another adverb) And normally follow the verb.
Adverb
Tengo mucho que hacer
Estudio mucho
Ellos trabajan mucho

• With nouns. (much , many), if finish with -o (masculine normally), -a (fem.)

Tengo mucha sed
Hay mucha fruta
Son muchos dulces.
Juan gana mucho dinero cada dia.

Hay muchos libros( masc = los libros)
Hay muchas casa (fem.= las casas)

• Mucho as an adjective ( a lot, much, many)

Precedes de noun and indicate how much. 
Muchos platos estaran fríos si no se los comen ahora.
Mucha gente vendrá a la fiesta.

• As a adverb.

 Adverb never have plural and always indicate the increasing quantity on the action of the verb.
Hablo mucho.
Bebe mucho.

• Mas as a More.

Can be use with nouns and adjectives, and it´s comparative .
Ella es más simpática que Alberto.
Hay más gente que hacer diez minutos. (or hay mucha mas gente que hace diez minutos)

Other uses:

• more—¿hay algo más grande?: is there anything bigger?
• most—Luis es el más alto: Luis is the tallest
• longer—el sabor dura más: the flavor lasts longer
• what . . . , what a . . . <¡qué día más bonito! : what a beautiful day!
• dáme dos kilos más: give me two more kilos
• most—la que ganó más dinero: the one who earned the most money
• else—¿quién más quiere vino?: who else wants wine?
• Plus—tres más dos es igual a cinco: three plus two equals five
• More—¿tienes más?: do you have more?
• More— ¿quieres más?: do you want more?
• At most—a lo más 
• Extra, excess— de mas
• More or less, approximately—más o menos 

No matter how much— por más que: Por más que corras no llegarás a tiempo; no matter how fast you run you won't arrive on time
